Paula "Scout" McCaleb
Executive Director

Experience and Responsibilities: Ms. McCaleb serves as the Executive Director of the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy (ASBRT). Her background includes twenty-three years’ experience as a professional regulator; five years prior experience in state-wide trade associations; and founder of Leadership Alliance, a professional management firm, in 2004. As President of Leadership Alliance, Ms. McCaleb represents three licensing programs for the State of Alabama. These clients include: The Board Respiratory Therapy, the Board of Court Reporting, and the Private Investigation Board. Paula has been featured in RSVP Magazine’s “The List” for her professional accomplishments. As Executive Director, Paula’s responsibilities include managing the respiratory therapy licensure program to ensure the Board’s mission and goals are adhered to for the optimal relief of consumers of respiratory therapy services in Alabama as provided in the Board’s enabling statute.

Education: B.S. Degree from Troy University Montgomery.

Personal Interests: College football, oil painting, needlepoint, dogs, and reading.
