Mission: To protect the citizenry against the unauthorized, unqualified, and improper administration of respiratory therapy and from unprofessional or unethical conduct by persons licensed to practice respiratory therapy (§ 34-27-B-1).

Vision: Licensed Respiratory Therapists provide quality respiratory healthcare to Alabama citizens, promoting their health and self-sufficiency.
